Hi Loveys! I’m Kristin, more commonly known as KG. I’m 25,
and a lifelong citizen of California’s central coast. So a little bit about me:
I am a full-time student, working towards my Paralegal License, and I work
full-time as a server at a busy, popular chain restaurant that shall not be
named. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies with a minor in Sociology
from Chapman University in 2013. I will become a criminal prosecutor someday. I
say “I will” because I refuse to be anything less! When I first started
college, I was looking to go into advertising. Obviously, that has changed. I’m
sure I will write a post someday about that particular story. But for now, know
that I am a total law nerd, and a stickler for following the rules J
I have a younger brother, who is currently a YouTube
sensation. I live with my boyfriend of nearly 9 years. He’s a total “man’s man.”
You know, beer, football, fast cars, etc. He doesn’t quite understand my
fascination with beauty, blogging, and writing. But he just smiles and tells me
I can do whatever I want. He’s absolutely wonderful.
Now this is probably why you’re here. Why Mind.Heart.Beauty? About 2 years ago, I was introduced to the
YouTube beauty community. I started watching popular beauty gurus like
Allthatglitters21, Missglamorazzi, Leighannsays, Amarixe, Eleventhgorgeous,
Dulce Candy, Fleurdeforce, ThatsHeart, among others. I was just in AWE, I mean,
total and complete awe of these girls. I have been pretty beauty conscious and obsessed
since my teen years, and I would just wish with all my might that I could find
a community and videos, and blogs, and all that jazz from girls that were like
me. Why it took me so long to find the YouTube community is completely beyond
me. But hey, I found it! I had been wanting to start a blog for a really long
time, but kept procrastinating. Also, I was working on my bachelor’s degree,
which is a full-time job in of itself. I know, excuses, excuses.
Mind.Heart.Beauty. is the result of years of accumulated
ideas that I’ve stored tucked away in my head. I FINALLY decided to put
everything into action.
